Like you, I was tired of working 9-5 jobs which bound my life to a routine of work, eat and sleep. I was tired of all the traffic time I had to spend in the car going to and from work - and with the rising gas prices, I was spending more of my paycheck on gas than on other things.

I've heard stories of how other people were making money on the internet, and wanted to do the same. Although I loved my computer repair job, I couldn't see myself crawling under people's dirty desks when I was 60 - so I knew I needed to find a new way to generate income - and soon!

So that's when I started researching different internet marketing options. I started reading everything I could find online, and one day I came across this article on how to make money using Google Adwords. And the thing that caught my attention was the fact that you could start earning money instantly with marketing strategy.

So I started looking for eBook on the internet that would show me exactly how to do this. I bought and downloaded a book called, "Google Cash", by Chris Carpenter.

I think this was the first eBook I ever bought, and I loved having immediate access to it (as opposed to having to wait a week for it to come in the mail). I also loved all the free bonuses I got with the purchase.

Ignoring the author's advice, I started creating ads before I had finished reading the book - and I started making money right away! Granted, it was only a few pennies and dollars at first - but it proved to me that the system worked! And now I wanted to know more!

So I started doing more research and reading everything about internet and affiliate marketing I could get my hands on - I was hooked!

Reading Google Cash, gave me first taste of affiliate marketing. Now I wanted to know more and so I searched until I found a book called, "The Super Affiliate Handbook" by Rosalind Gardner.

This book explained in great detail how Rosalind had made over $400,000 in one year through affiliate marketing. She was so good at this, that she was labeled, a super affiliate by the industry.

I was highly impressed by the level of detail and instruction in this book and I started signing up for more affiliate programs and using the things I learned in Google Cash to make more money.

As I continued my research, I kept coming across another name, Corey Rudl who also was a well-known expert in internet marketing. This led me to a company called, The Internet Marketing Center (or IMC) - the company Corey had founded back in the late 90's.

I signed up for their free newsletter (along with everybody else's) and then quickly forgot about them as I continued in my pursuit for more knowledge. At this point in my journey, I was making bad decisions and buying more eBooks and software packages full of promises to help me make more money - but failing to deliver!

By this point, I was growing more and more frustrated. Sure I was still making a few dollars here and there, but I knew I could I make a full-time income on the internet and was struggling to get there.

A Trend Was Starting to Emerge

One of the things I did discover during my frustration was that much of the genuine internet and marketing information I was reading - the stuff that really worked, was written by people who were former IMC students. I was noticing a trend!

This is when I turned my attention and focus back to IMC and started checking out the training courses they offered.

One of the things I really liked about this company, is that they had several training courses on DVD (which I preferred to reading any day of the week).

One of the training courses they offered was called, "Warp Speed Wealth" (now sold out). Granted, the title sounded a bit cheesy to me - kind of like those snake oil salesman promising to have the greatest new product for whatever ails you..... but by this point, I was willing to try anything.

I bought the DVD and was pleasantly surprised by the wealth of information on it. It was basically some taped footage of Derek Gehl (the CEO of IMC) from one of their seminars, but it was packed full of valuable information - which all made sense!

For the first time since I had started this journey, I felt like I found somebody who really knew what they were talking about - the original source of information I had read elsewhere (the horse's mouth, so to speak).

It became very clear to me that IMC were the true experts on internet marketing and that this is where I needed to focus the majority of my attention. It also became clear to me that one of the reasons I was struggling so much, is because I was listening to many other sources (sometimes which contradicted each other).

Emerge From the Heap of Wannabe's

I knew that if I wanted to make it to the next step, I was going to have to start focusing my time and energy in one direction - and I chose IMC.

My next purchase was the "Insider's Secret to Marketing Your Business on the Internet" course. This was a complete how-to start a web business from scratch manual. I bought it and started following all the strategies outlined in the book.

I also started subscribing to IMC's "Secrets to their Success" private web site - which is kind of like an online magazine that shares real success stories of people like me, who are now making descent incomes on the internet.

Finally, I felt I had overcome all my obstacles and was on my way to achieving my internet marketing goals. And as well, as everything else was going, I had another opportunity which put me on the fast track to success!

I was invited to join IMC's Advanced Mentoring Program. This program paired me up with one of IMC's internet marketing mentors for one-on-one, hand-holding training. My mentor helped me identify a profitable niche market and then build a web site from scratch.

We researching affiliate marketing options for the site - there were load so them. Offering an eBook definitely one of the more profitable affiliate options, but I couldn't find one I was completely happy with (if I was to promote it successfully, I had to believe and find value in it).

Since I couldn't find one I felt comfortable promoting, I decided to create my own eBook. One of the problems with eBooks is protecting them against theft and refunds (some folks will buy an eBook and then request a refund after they get it - knowing there's no way you can take the book back - not everybody is honest).

IMC offered a software program called, eBook Pro which solved this problem. It gave the author complete control over the eBook - and could even be disabled remotely if somebody asked for a refund (so they couldn't open it anymore!).

I bought it, and used it to write my eBook - which didn't take near as long as I expected. Once it was done, it was uploaded to my web site and tools were put in place for folks to purchase it through the internet and I was on my way!

Thanks to the tricks I learned in Google Cash, I started making money the first week this new web site went online! I couldn't be happier! Not only did I build a web site from scratch which was making money, but I learned the skills necessary to do it again and again without my mentor's help!

If I Can Do It - So Can You!!!

Today that web site continues to grow - and it has now become a full-time internet business. I've also created other web sites which are making money too, and I now own and use just about every eBook, video, and software course that IMC produced - so I have a lot of experience with their products (and highly recommend them to others).

When I'm passionate about something, I want to share it with others ... and I'm pretty passionate about internet and affiliate marketing.

Working from home is great! I have a lot more freedom to be there for my family and help them out. I don't have to deal with rising gas prices as much as those who have to commute to and from work! And I get to meet people from all over the world and learn from their experiences. What could be better?!

Imagine for a minute that you could:

	Stay home with your family and still earn money (no need for day care and you'd get to be the important person in your kid's life)
	Spend less money on gas by not having to commute to and from work or day care centers (you'll have more money for fun things)
	Do something that you're passionate about and enjoy (you no longer have to endure a job you hate, or put up with the office politics or frustrations)
	Work only a few hours a week (no more having to put in those long hours at work or work overtime)
	Earn money while you sleep (you can earn money 24 hours a day on the internet)
	Stay home and rest when you're sick! (no more having to force yourself to go to work when you're not feeling well - you can stay home and rest and still make money!)
	Meet and talk to people from all the world (if you love talking to people and learning about other cultures, you'll love internet marketing - you'll make a lot of ne friends!)
	Have the financial stability you want! (no more having to worry about money for the kids, pay the bills, etc...You can get out of debt and put away money for the future).

The list goes on! There advantages of internet and affiliate marketing are almost endless! It can literally change your life and financial situation!

The Bottom Line ...

Is it easy? No. I'm not going to lie to you. Learning internet and affiliate marketing is like learning anything else - you have to work at it. You have to learn the terminology and study the material.

Internet marketing is NOT a get rich quick scheme. It WON'T solve all your financial problems over night. But it is a great way to make a living and over time, it can certainly boost your income and financial security.

But if you use the training materials and tools I've recommended on this site - your learning curve will be greatly reduced! I've already made a lot of mistakes, and can help save you from making the same ones.

You don't have to take the same long and frustrating journey I did.

You also don't have to do it all at once. You can start with one training course and read or watch it at your leisure.

Most folks get their start at internet marketing or affiliate marketing while they're still working their day jobs... but after a year or two of building their internet business, they're ready to quit their day job.

The sooner you start, the sooner you'll be on your way to achieving success!
